Town of Frisco EventsOktoberfestSeptember 5, 2009 --to September 6, 2009Grab your lederhausen and celebrate Oktoberfest at the Frisco Recreation Penninsula! Traditional themed music will be featured by Those Austrian Guys and the Summit Concert Band, as well as dancing by the T.E.V. Edelweiss dancers. Adopt a trail -FDRD & TOFSeptember 19, 2009 – 8:30 amThe Peaks Trail connects Frisco and Breckenridge. It is used by a variety of user groups year round. The trail passes through a lodge pole pine forest with several stream crossings featuring panoramic views of the Blue River Valley including the Continental Divide to the South and East and the Williams Fork Range to the North. GOALS OF PROJECT: Volunteers will work on a 2-mile section of the trail. During spring run-off much of the trail finds itself under water which has lead to extensive trail erosion and habitat deterioration. You will have a chance learn new trail construction techniques building drainage dips, closing and rehabilitating braided trail, rerouting and re-vegetating Trick or Treat on Main StreetOctober 31, 2009 – 6:00 pm to 8:00 pmA fun, safe experience for kids, big and small.
